This module forms part of our 3-day Pipeline Integrity Management training course which is aimed to provide a comprehensive and structured approach to understanding and implementing a robust pipeline integrity management system. From the lifecycle considerations to threat assessments, defect evaluations, and corrosion control strategies, this course equips professionals with the practical skills and theoretical background needed to ensure pipeline safety and longevity. MODULE DESCRIPTION:

This module focuses on the design, construction and testing parameters of pipelines and the respective standards.

MODULE OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the design, construction, and testing parameters of pipelines.
  • Learn about the types of pipeline defects, their associated threats, and inspection techniques.
  • Gain knowledge on assessing mechanical damages such as dents, gouges, and combinations.
  • Understand corrosion assessment methods including ASME B31G, DNV RP F101, and Kastner Criterion.

MODULE OUTCOME:

Delegates will be proficient in evaluating pipeline defects, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding maintenance and repair.
