OVERVIEW:

This module forms part of our 2-day Wax Management training course which is aimed to provide a detailed understanding on how to effectively manage wax-related challenges. It covers the spectrum of the theory behind wax deposition through to the practicalities of developing an optimal control strategy based on prevention, inhibition and remediation, all underpinned by surveillance. MODULE DESCRIPTION:

The module explores various methods for preventing wax deposition, including thermal management systems, passive and active prevention techniques, and the use of chemical inhibitors and their economic implications.

MODULE OBJECTIVES:

  • Learn the principles and functioning of thermal management systems for preventing wax deposition
  • Understand the various passive prevention methods used to minimize wax buildup
  • Explore the implementation and benefits of active prevention techniques in wax management
  • Gain insights into the different chemical inhibitors and their roles in controlling wax deposition
  • Examine the economics of using chemical inhibition for wax control, considering cost-effectiveness and long-term implications

MODULE OUTCOMES:
