OVERVIEW:

This module forms part of our 1-day Operational Risk Management (ORM) training course which is aimed to illustrate the function of a mature ORM system and its role in safeguarding assets, people and the environment. The course highlights the elements, steps and human factors involved in an ORM system while explaining the tools that can be utilized for its implementation. MODULE DESCRIPTION:

Our Human Factors module provides an understanding of the effects of human factors on an Operational Risk Management system and how to manage these factors.

MODULE OBJECTIVES:

    • Understand the effects of human factors on an ORM system and how to manage these factors
    • Learn about the principles of a safety culture and how can these be implemented to drive operational discipline
    • Define human error and understand the function of human factors engineering in minimizing human error
    • Explain the contents and function of a competence assurance management systems

MODULE OUTCOMES:

The delegates will learn the effects of a safety culture and human factors on the implementation of an ORM system and the role of human factors engineering and competency assurance management systems within an ORM system.
