OVERVIEW:

This module forms part of our 2-day Wax Management training course which is aimed to provide a detailed understanding on how to effectively manage wax-related challenges. It covers the spectrum of the theory behind wax deposition through to the practicalities of developing an optimal control strategy based on prevention, inhibition and remediation, all underpinned by surveillance. MODULE DESCRIPTION:

This module sheds the light on wax precipitation and deposition modelling, the impact of water cut, hydrodynamics, multiphase flow effects, and surface properties on wax deposition.

MODULE OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand Precipitation and Deposition modelling
  • Learn the effect of water cut on wax deposition
  • Describe the hydrodynamics and multiphase-flow effects
  • Understand the surface properties and impact on deposition

MODULE OUTCOMES:

The delegates will understand the different aspects to wax modelling. They will be able to identify the impact of water cut, hydrodynamics, multiphase flow effects, and surface properties on wax deposition.
