OVERVIEW:

This module forms part of our 1-day Operational Risk Management (ORM) training course which is aimed to illustrate the function of a mature ORM system and its role in safeguarding assets, people and the environment. The course highlights the elements, steps and human factors involved in an ORM system while explaining the tools that can be utilized for its implementation. MODULE DESCRIPTION:

Our Operational Risk Management Tools module provides a comprehensive overview of the various tools and methods utilized in a functioning Operational Risk Management system.

MODULE OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the function and process of a risk assessment
  • Learn the various risk assessment tools that can be utilized within an ORM system (PHA, HAZOP, ORA, etc.)
  • Describe the role of each tool and identify its requirements and outcomes
  • Understand the requirements of an effective risk register and how it should be rolled out and maintained

MODULE OUTCOMES:

The delegates will understand the various tools that can be used in an ORM system and their different requirements and outcomes. They will be able to identify any gaps or shortcomings that they have in their risk registers.

  • System – Runs on desktop computers using Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 10, and MAC OS.
  • Browser – Runs on IE11, Chrome, Firefox and Safari, but requires the latest Flash Player to run.
  • Audio – Requires speaker or headphones.
  • Notes – Not suitable for tablets or smartphones.
