This module forms part of our 3-day Asset Integrity Management training course which provides both theoretical and practical exposure to the foundations of asset integrity management. The course explains how integrity management systems should be implemented to safeguard assets, people and the environment. It focuses on modern risk based methodologies to manage asset integrity in both newly constructed and aged facilities, explaining and addressing key threats facing the Oil and Gas industry and providing both established and innovative practices to safely mitigate them. The training module is followed by an interactive case study to reinforce learning.


An overview and explanation of the 10 elements making up a functioning integrity management system. We explore the importance of each element and how they are interrelated and used to ensure a robust and effective asset-wide IM system.


  • Describe each integrity element and how it is dependent on the remaining elements
  • Learn the history of the ten elements and how they emerged
  • Understand the importance of each integrity element and its role in achieving sound integrity management
  • Define integrity elements and describe how are they implemented


The training module is followed by an interactive case study to reinforce learning.


Delegates will be able to identify any deficiencies and shortcomings in their integrity management system with respect to each integrity element. They will be able to assess how effective an integrity element is in achieving its role in maintaining their asset integrity management system.
