Asset Integrity Engineering’s (AIE) corrosion management department was invited by the American University of Sharjah (AUS) to deliver an educational session to the chemical engineering students in November 2016. AIE was represented by a Corrosion Engineer who graduated from AUS in June 2014.
The lecture provided an overview of AIE’s business and the different aspects of our corrosion management services. A root cause analysis case study was then presented and discussed with the attendees.
Finally, the different experiences and difficulties that fresh graduates are exposed to when they first step into a new work environment were discussed. Being an AUS graduate an insight was delivered to provide the challenges students are expected to face when they start their careers in the Oil and Gas Industry.
The students were actively engaged and overall, the presentation was well received by the students and was followed with an engaging Q&A session.
