Summary of Role: The Country Lead: KSA will be responsible for growing our business in the Kingdom and for the day-to-day management of all AIE’s activities in-country. This will encompass both commercial / business activities as well as ensuring that our projects are delivered to the expected level of quality, and on time and budget.
The Country Lead will report to the Managing Director and will provide broad based support to the Executive Function (Managing Director) and Team Leaders (Senior Company Management) in the above activities.
From a technical perspective, you will possess the engineering skills required to oversee a wide range of integrity management projects, including the update, assessment and analysis of inspection and integrity data, software implementation, pressure systems and pipelines risk assessments, to name a few. You will be supported as required by the Team Leaders who are responsible for the individual projects.
The Country Lead must have a thorough understanding of the commercial environment and client base in the energy sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for maintaining adequate internal controls to mitigate financial and commercial risks to AIE and take a leading role for the company in Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment (QHSE). The commercial areas will include maintaining business and commercial registrations, ensuring client and supplier contracts, JV agreements, agency agreements and other contractual documents suitably protect AIE's interests and minimise any risk to the company. Summary of Role: The Finance and Commercial Manager should be a Western educated qualified Accountant and will report to the Managing Director and will provide a leadership role and broad based support to the Executive Function (Managing Director) and Team Leaders (Senior Company Management) in the areas of Finance and Accounting, Commercial (including business registration and set-up), Legal and Human Resources (HR). The position will manage and work closely with the AIE Senior Accountant and have overall responsibility for: (i) maintenance of the control environment and complete and accurate accounting records; (ii) delivery of the Director’s monthly management reporting pack and PowerPoint presentation; (iii) AIE annual audited Financial Statements; (iv) AIE annual Budget; (v) oversight of the finance function of an Indian based company providing manpower support to AIE; and (vi) lead implementation of UAE Corporation Tax at AIE and manage AIE’s banking relationships. The position is also the focal point on all Commercial and Legal matters for AIE. This will include input on client and supplier contracts and all other AIE legal agreements, including preparing and managing commercial contract qualifications for AIE’s bidding process. The position will also provide Commercial and Legal support on corporate matters for expansion into new territories/jurisdictions covering Company/Branch/Joint Venture formation and other associated agreement. - Provide leadership for the AIE Finance function, including all related AIE legal entities and branches. The position will report directly to the Managing Director and manage and oversee the Senior Accountant who: (i) runs AIE's day to day accounting on Tally ERP 9 covering the sales invoicing/cash receipt, supplier invoice/payment and monthly payroll processing cycles; (ii) supports AIE HR activity including managing employee and consultant contracts, mobilisation arrangements and staff communication; and (iii) acts as office administrator in the general operation and upkeep of the SAIF Zone office and interaction with the SAIF Zone authorities.
- Take ownership of AIE’s internal control environment and ensure suitable internal controls are in place to mitigate AIE Financial and Commercial risks and ensure complete and accurate accounting records are maintained in the Tally ERP 9 General Ledger accounting system.
- Working with the Senior Accountant, ensure accurate and timely production of the Director’s monthly management reporting pack and PowerPoint presentation to ensure reporting analysis enhances the Director’s understudying of the financial performance of the business, allowing meaningful business decisions to be made based on this reporting.
- Manage the monthly and annual external audit function by the SAIF Zone approved external auditor. Working with the external auditor, finalise the annual audited Financial Statements in a timely manner to meet SAIF Zone filing deadlines.
- Together with the Managing Director, lead the preparation of AIE’s annual budget and any other forecast financial performance information.
- Manage and oversee the finance function (covering funding, reporting and general accounting matters) of AIET India (Private) Limited, an Indian company set up to provide manpower services to AIE whose accounting function is run in India by a Bangalore based firm of Chartered Accountants.
- Overseas the quarterly AIE UAE VAT process and lead the implementation of UAE Corporation Tax for AIE.
- Manage AIE’s banking relationships and co-ordinate day to day banking activity with the Senior Accountant, including ensuring relevant banking guarantees are available when required by AIE contracting activity.
- Be the focal point and provide support to the Managing Director and Team Leaders on all Commercial and Legal matters and specifically provide Commercial and Legal input for client and supplier contracts, Veracity Terms of Use agreements and any other legal documents as required.
- Review major new contracts to identify contractual shortcomings and risks to AIE and prepare and manage commercial contract qualifications for AIE’s bidding process.

- Degree qualified accountant with a professional accounting qualification (Chartered status/ACCA/CIMA) and strong technical accounting skills. Professional accounting qualification to be from a European/North American/Australian/New Zealand/South African (or other Western equivalent) professional organisation.
- Minimum 10 years post qualification experience. Experience as a Finance or Accounting manager running an accounting department, preferable in an oil and gas services or other manpower based service provision company, would be advantageous.
- Preference will be given to someone with hands-on experience in a medium sized agile organisation. This is very much a hands on role and the selected candidate will need to be self-motivated, have a high work ethic and be capable of problem solving and independent thinking. Summary of Role: Responsible for all consultancy and engineering services relating to corrosion management and materials Integrity. Responsibilities / Duties:
- Verification of Asset Registers through controlled data and documentation and / or site survey.
- Structure Asset Registers of all equipment types into a functional hierarchy prior to load into client CMMS.
- Equipment classification of all equipment items within Asset Registers to ISO 14224 standards (or similar).

- Provide effective technical advice to the inspection team, ensuring threats are evaluated, procedures are followed and work is completed in accordance with the company technical procedures.
- Liaise and mange subcontractor day-to-day activities.
- Ensure that any actions arising from inspection activities are fully reported and communicated with the Integrity Team Leader and Client.
- Perform effective review of inspection data, results trending and remnant life assessments, perform fitness-for-service assessments and provide recommendations for repair and replacement methodologies.
- Carrying out root cause analysis and failure investigation on systems and equipment whenever required.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to the Integrity Team Leader and Client as required, informing the Client of anomalies and recommend actions to be taken.
- Ensure project activities are performed in accordance with accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards and that project activities are performed in accordance with the health, safety and environmental policy.
- Audit the inspection team on compliance to international standards and procedures.
- Act as focal point for corrosion management expertise and ensure that relevant reports and data are reviewed and communicated accordingly.
- Co-ordinate and participate in periodic plant and equipment history reviews in order to maximize plant availability.
- Assist the Integrity Team Leader in budget preparation, annual revenue forecasts and monthly updates.
- Co-ordinate and action results from associated failure investigations / significant anomalies.
- Ensure the effective application of new techniques, technologies and use of specialist NDT contractor to limit intrusive inspection so to maximize inspection intervals.
- Provide cover for Integrity Team Leader during leaves of absence.
- Ensure onsite work activities are performed in accordance with the health, safety and environmental policy, company SHE&Q manual and asset specific control of work procedures and practices.
- A relevant engineering degree preferably in Corrosion Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy.
- Minimum 8 years of specific experience in Integrity Management, Risk Based Inspection and /In-Service Inspection (excluding purely NDT).
- Experience and knowledge of integrity management software systems such as Credo, RBMI, ACET, etc is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of NDT techniques and in-service application of NDT.
- Through understanding of defect assessment techniques in accordance with relevant codes / standards and API 579.
- Thorough knowledge of pressure vessel and pipe work design and inspection codes of practice.
- Knowledge of related standards / regulatory requirements.
- Plant inspection or API certification, with associated experience.
- Versatile and flexible team player with good verbal and written communication skills. Good command of English language.

Summary of Role: Responsible for performing consultancy and engineering services relating to pipeline integrity and design. Responsibilities / Duties:
- Review and assessment of maintenance plans, ILI, CP reviews, coating surveys, pipeline protections at road and wadi crossings, uprating and/or derating, etc.
- Complete detailed pipeline risk assessments.
- Complete pipeline emergency repair systems.
- Analyze ILI data, perform necessary verification and demonstrate accuracy and limitations of intelligent pigging.
- Perform anomaly assessment for ILI results in accordance toindustry standards and determine pipeline fitness for service and necessary upgrades accordingly.
- Perform annual integrity reviews on critical pipelines so that to assess effectiveness of controls and identify threats. This shall include reviewing and analyzing of inspection & survey data, corrosion data, operation & maintenance data.
- Perform integrity assessment for non-piggable pipelines in accordance to approved direct assessment methodology and demonstrate integrity (fitness for service) accordingly.
- Develop integrity mitigation plans, monitor effectiveness and identify improvements.
- Develop specific restoration and replacement plans.
- Work with corrosion engineer to identify degradations mechanisms, threats, mitigation programs and effectiveness.
- Carry out and/or approve pipeline derating and uprating – assessment, methodology, calculations.
- Pipeline Design verification.
- Perform pipeline crossing assessment and provide approvals or necessary assessments.
- Perform pipeline Risk Based Assessment, FMEA and QRAs. Initiate/perform studies, review/approve results and assess outcomes.
- Pipeline anomaly assessments and repairs.
- New technology and work processes for pipeline integrity management.
- Support development of young integrity engineers as applicable.
- Support improvements to integrity work processes and promote best practices.
- Custodian for Pipeline Integrity Management software.
- Develop pipeline integrity performance indicators and business plan.
- Ensure that the safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to as far as reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
- B-Eng. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree (Metallurgy, Chemical, Civil, Corrosion).
- Minimum 7years’ experience in oil & gas industry.
- Minimum 5 years in Pipeline Integrity Management including ILI assessment.
- Advance skills in integrity assessment and fitness for service analysis as well as acceptance criterion for corrosion and non-corrosion anomalies.
- Advance knowledge on inspection techniques and limitations.
- Good technical knowledge on materials and degradation mechanisms as well as control & mitigation measures.
- Skills in integrity restoration – requirement and techniques.
- Expert knowledge on international standards;eg ASME31.8, ASME31.8s, API-579, DNV RPF-101, API 1163, NACE 102, POF, etc).
- Excellent technical English skills - writing and speaking.
- Excellent computer skills especially in MS XLS and other windows applications.
